Mondays

Here in Chicago, Monday night rides have been picking up steam. We are meeting at the Continental at 8pm every dry Monday.

Finished Project… almost.

This is a picture of pickles at the end of last summer.

Fixing Pickles.

Last summer I spent fixing pickles. I built up two other bikes but pickles had most my attention. This is a picture Brad took right before he fixed my timing on my new re-built engine.

Freespirit not so free

Leo Vinci on a Freespirit

I have heard alot of good things about the Leo Vinci Exhaust. So I got two of em. Now I’m wondering if it was a mistake. The biggest thing about these is that its a bottom exhaust. Which means you will loose your center stand. The damn thing sits so close to the center that I no longer am able to use my center stand.  See image below.

Kreidler

KREIDLER

This Kreiler mp-19 is my second kreidler. I was a little reluctant to get it since I know how hard it is to find parts for these guys. However look at those rims! The best part about this buy was that its in really good condition. It has been stored in a barn so there is currently caked on mud.

Look what I found!

ZOMG NEW SHOES!

I love the internets. Lastnight I found this site selling what looks like rims that could fit on mopeds. If anyone out there knows anything about these please email me at emikey@gmail.com

Moped Ass!

In the past month I have picked up 3 mopeds. Thats one 2 speed puch maxi from Wisconsin, one 1 speed maxi from Michigan, and a 2 speed Kreidler MP-19 from Wisconsin. I think I have to stop now because my apartment smells like 2stroke gas and I have to eat dinner on my vespa grande.

Mucho Macho Grande

My Vespa Grande is completey stock and can hit 40-45 mph. However it takes a sometime to get there. I’m hoping that this Leo Vinci pipe and kit can help solve this little dilemma. Thanks 50cc.nl

Pickle’s Privates

Pickle's Privates

Sergeant Pickles was my first moped. He came to me as a severly worn down 1978 Sears Freespirit. He could bearly hit 25mph. I gave him a 15mm carb, 64cc polini kit, a biturbo pipe and a fresh coat of paint. Since then he has performed well all year long. He can easily hit 50mph and his lowend pickup can keep up with the most impatient Chicago driver. Today I recieved a package from the netherlands containing a bunch of new toys for Pickles and his friends. Pickles recieved a new Leo Vinci exhaust, gears, GPS (for a speedometor), drive chain and pedal arms.

Buying Season

newpeds

Now that its too cold to ride I am picking up mopeds left and right. These two fine puchs just moved into my kitchen. I have a sweet looking krielder on the way as well.
